The country with a deep love for Cardamom is Sweden. You may be surprised to know that the swedes and all of Scandinavia consume 10 percent of all global trade of cardamom every year. Today, Swedes consume 60 times as much Cardamom as Americans do and 18 times more per capita than the average country.
One of the unique features of Swedish and Scandinavian culture is a term called " Fika" , which is associated with a coffee break and its is most fulfilling with not only coffee but also a sweet cardamom bun.
Interestingly, the Scandinavians are also the only Europeans to use cardamom in their desserts as much as the Indian people.
