Cause Of Strong Emotions | Yoga of Eating

Summer is a time when the Liver naturally gets aggravated and releases excess bile.


This bile irritates the nervous system, as well as aggravates Pitta ie the Fire element.


Eating food with a lot of pungent spices, drinking alcohol could aggravate this condition even further. Especially in Summer, this could lead to many of us have feelings of irritability, impatience, volatile anger, envy, being reactive and makes one prone to having a sharp tongue.



If we enter a situation of conflict and arguments with loved ones, it's better to face it during the cooling times of the day as any reaction could ruin things in the long term.


Drinking fresh coconut water, Mint tea, Cilantro seed tea could be very beneficial over such discussions as they help us keep cool.
