Optimal health is a result of being in alignment with Nature, by living according to our constitution , by nature's rhythms and seasons. Over the last few decades, we have outsourced our cooking to Corporations who in order to make food taste better add too much salt and sugar, use cheaper and lower quality ingredients along with harmful chemicals as preservatives. It's best to cook at home. A study in the USA showed that people who cook at home and/or eat home cooked meals are significantly healthier than people who don't. I only eat home cooked meals. It's a very significant part of the Indian culture to still do so.
