Summer Foods | Yoga of Eating

🥒 𝐂𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 having a high water content are a great food for Summer.

Cucumbers are a diuretic food i.e. they make you pee! Therefore it's recommended that you have cucumber with a little Pink Himalayan salt to try and retain the water inside the body as an antidote to the dryness of the Summer.

Raw Cucumbers are helpful for those who have water retention.

🍌 Adequately ripe 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬 cool, hydrate and replenish your body with electrolytes and water thus increasing the much-needed energy levels during the heat of the Summers.


🍉 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧 is a great Summer treat and cool the body aggravated by the Summer heat. Despite their extremely high water content, they are a diuretic.


Eating Watermelon with pink Himalayan Salt is great for retaining the water within. Therefore, it's suggested to have them with a little pink Himalayan salt to try and retain the water within as an antidote to the dryness of the Summer.



Watermelons without adding salt are helpful for those who have water retention. Watermelons like all other Melons should be wither eaten alone of left alone.


Do not eat anything for about 2 hours to 3 hours after consuming melons.




🔹𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 are an elixir for the liver especially during Summer when the body and especially the Liver is aggravated due to the environmental heat.


One can experience calmness in the body especially the eyes and the skin after eating blueberries.


People who tend to get kidney stones should avoid over-consuming blueberries.

🍀 𝐂𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 is a very cooling herb. Take a handful of cilantro and blend it . Apply the pulp on the skin and drink the juice. This is a great remedy for sunburns.
