The standard American diet generally comprised of processed meat, frozen foods, packaged foods, fried food, products with HFCS ie High Fructose Corn Syrup, high fat dairy products, fast food, soda, refined grains and refined flour etc, all mostly high in preservatives. All this could increase the bad Kapha or the bio energy comprising of the Earth and Water elements leading to an increase in bad cholesterol and even mucus. The SAD or Standard American diet can also be heavy to digest which could lead to slow digestion leading to constipation. It's best to chew well and eat a Whole plant based diet for better digestive and overall health. 🌱
